Context.
This project is part of a major work of reflection and technological monitoring around the use of comments and issues related to written discussions on the web. I have been working with the Semiologic company for several years to work on the design of different products: comments plugin, forum redesign, discussion system, etc.
Challenge
Have a global vision of the market
Identification of obstacles to use and areas for improvement
Design of an innovative solution reducing identified friction
Design of a solution that can be integrated into different contexts
How to reconcile usage habits and innovation (see: resistance issues)
Solutions
Monitoring / Benchmarking of the main market players
Analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of competing solutions
Creation of “Bubble Flow”, an innovation allowing you to switch to horizontal reading (instead of classic vertical reading, one comment under the other)
Working on the basis of modular design, starting from bricks which will be reused later.
